About Sequence Holdings
Sequence buys established businesses in the service economy and rebuilds them around what AI now makes possible, keeping what already works and changing how the business operates. It brings capital, engineering and operating expertise and works alongside each company's existing leaders and staff. Its shared technology platform, Atlas, gets stronger with every business it transforms. Sequence is based in New York City and backed by 8VC, Conviction, Lux Capital and other partners.
The role
You'll source, assess and close acquisitions for Sequence Holdings, then help build the companies you buy. Sequence is a permanent holding company with no exit timeline, so you live with every deal you do and your judgment compounds over time.
You'll run the full deal lifecycle: finding proprietary opportunities, building relationships with founders and owners, underwriting businesses, leading diligence and getting transactions closed. After closing you'll stay involved, shaping operating models, working with management and helping decide how Sequence's technology platform transforms each company.
The team is flat: you run your own processes and relationships and take recommendations straight to the decision-makers, with no layers of reviewers or analysts in between. As Sequence grows, the role grows with it, building sector expertise, a network of owners, bankers and operators, and a hand in shaping the firm's M&A strategy.
