Cookie policy

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Websites use them to work properly and to remember your preferences.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for two reasons: to make our website work, and to learn which businesses visit it.
We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies.
We also use Apollo.io, a sales tool, but only if you accept cookies. Apollo sets cookies and uses your IP address and browser details to work out which company you are visiting from. In some cases, especially in the United States, it can also tell us who you are. We use this to find businesses that may want to hire through The Qualidex.
If you decline, or have not chosen yet, Apollo does not load.
Your choice covers all of thequalidex.com, including our job pages and the pages where you apply. We remember it in a small cookie for a year.
On the job pages we record which pages you open and how far you read, so we can see where they are unclear. We never record what you type.
If you accept cookies, we also keep a random identifier in a cookie for up to a year. It lets us see that two visits came from the same browser.
If you choose Necessary only, we store nothing for this, and each visit stands alone.
See our privacy policy for details.
3. Managing cookies
On your first visit we ask whether you accept cookies. You can change your choice at any time.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and a tracker blocker will stop the tools above from loading. Some parts of the website may not work as expected if you do.
4. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
