Gradr is a Stockholm-based AI platform for Swedish schools. Teachers run both assignments and exams on Gradr's own exam platform, the AI drafts formative feedback, and the teacher reviews and approves it before a student sees anything. Gradr deliberately stays out of summative grading, and that choice is a large part of why schools trust it.
This role sits between design and engineering: you decide how something should work and then build it. On a team of five that is the fastest way from a teacher saying "this is awkward" to it not being awkward any more.
What you will do
- Design and build product surfaces yourself, from the rough idea through to what ships
- Own the interface a teacher uses to review and approve drafted feedback, which is the part of the product that has to feel effortless
- Build against real classroom use, with a short loop between a school saying something and it changing
- Set the frontend patterns the product grows into, while the team is still small enough to choose them
What we are looking for
- Real programming ability. You can build a complete experience yourself in a modern frontend stack, not just specify one
- Command of a design tool, and the judgment to know when to stop designing and start building
- Comfort working through ambiguity on a small team where nobody hands you a spec
Nice to have
- Experience building interfaces around AI output that a person has to check
- Work on dense, data-heavy screens such as results, cohorts or rubrics
- Swedish, or a willingness to work closely with Swedish-language material
